Refund and Return Policy

1. Overview

At Ekachakra Technologies (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), we are committed to providing quality products and ensuring customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which returns and refunds are processed. This policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002.

2. Returns Eligibility

Products may be returned within 7 days of delivery if:

  • The product is defective or faulty
  • The product received is incorrect (does not match your order)

The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging, including all accessories, manuals, cables, and documentation. Products must be unused and free from physical damage caused after delivery.

3. Non-Returnable Products

The following are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Software Licences and Digital Products: Activated software licences, licence keys, digital downloads, and subscription products
  • Custom and Build-to-Order Products: Products built or configured to your specific requirements
  • Used or Installed Products: Products that have been installed or used beyond initial inspection, unless defective
  • Consumables: Printer cartridges, toner, cables with broken seals, and other opened consumables
  • Clearance Items: Products purchased at clearance or final-sale prices, unless defective

4. Damaged Products

If you receive a product damaged during transit:

  • Report Within 48 Hours: Contact us at support@ekachakra.co.za
  • Provide Photographs: Clear photos of the damaged product and packaging
  • Retain Packaging: Keep all original packaging until the claim is resolved

Upon verification, we will arrange a replacement at no cost or issue a full refund including shipping costs.

5. Refund Processing

  • Processing Time: 7 to 14 business days from the date we receive and verify the returned product
  • Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method used for the purchase
  • Currency: All refunds are processed in South African Rand (ZAR)
  • Partial Refunds: If only part of your order is returned, a partial refund is issued for the eligible items

6. Shipping Costs

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error
  • If the return is due to a defective, damaged, or incorrect product, we cover return shipping
  • For other returns, you are responsible for return shipping costs — use a trackable method

7. How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email support@ekachakra.co.za or call 061 841 3134 within 7 days of receiving your order
  2. Provide your order number, the product(s) to return, and the reason
  3. Receive a Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) number and return instructions
  4. Pack the product in its original packaging with the RMA number on the parcel
  5. Ship to the address provided using a trackable courier service

Do not return products without first obtaining an RMA number.

8. Warranty Claims

Products that develop faults after the 7-day return period but within the manufacturer's warranty period are handled through the manufacturer's warranty claim process. Contact our support team for assistance.

9. Consumer Protection

This Refund Policy is subject to the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa. Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under the CPA. Under the CPA, you have the right to return goods that are defective, not suitable for their intended purpose, or not of good quality, within 6 months of delivery.
